Description:
Usalama is a mobile app developed for Android that connects users and emergency service providers - ambulance, security, police, road-side assistance - utilising real-time user data. It is a response to incidences of muggings, carjackings and other crimes common in Kenya's capital city.
About the designer:
Edwin Inganji, Marvin Makau, Kenneth Gachukia and James Chege are Nairobi-based programmer who develop Android applications that offer 'IT solutions to problems that face Africans'.
