The MamaOpe biomedical smart jacket is designed to diagnose pneumonia in children by analysing the temperature, breathing rate and sound of the lungs and sending data via Bluetooth to a smart phone app.
About the designer:
Brian Turyabagye is a Ugandan engineer who aims to considerably reduce the under five child mortality rate, and increase the productivity of health workers through biomedical devices.
